went to mambo yesterday with zhong, nari, mark koh, norman, elvin, nic, gerald, weihao and various other pple... met zhizhong there!!! way cool! haven't seen him for quite a while but he hasn't changed. that's for sure! tall, thin, and crappy. hahahah! good to see him!

anyways, mambo used to be quite a thing for me.. for all those who don't know, mambo is always on wed nights at zouk. and it's very popular with the singaporean crowd of 'nerds' (according to a fren's fren) nerds here being the ah bengs and ah lians. actually that was an unfair statement. more like nerds being the mambo crazy pple who knows the various actions that go along with all the songs they play there.

for those who haven't experienced the wonders of mambo... i sincerely encourage and challenge all of u to give it a go. for some it's pure entertainment, or torture... and for some.. u'll love it. i mean if there's the mambo blood running thru ur veins then yes! u'll love it! u'll embrace it and soon u'll be one of those pple who stand on the platform and doing the hand signs.

a few of my frens and i came up with this thinking.. that on wed nights.. pre-mambo, the pple who have the mambo in their jumbo will gather all together and rehearse their moves. cos whenever u see them on the platform/podium, their moves are always so choreographed and synchronised! then they wld have this full dress rehearsal and stuff.. and the leader of the pack wld choose who to go on depending on their performance and the rest are just back up!

okie anyways for me, it was really entertaining to see them groove to the music man! hahahah really funny.. u are so in awe at the hand motions that u forget that they actually don't know how to dance. so we spent some time trying to like follow them. but obviously, being the r&b person that i am.. it was very tough. i realised that i can no longer groove to the melodious and wonderful beats of mambo! i'm officially passed that phase! (altho i can't say much for the rest of the population at mambo) i found out that night that i can groove to pop, r&b, hip hop but not to mambo! hahahahhaha can't move.. my body was so stiff... hahahahah weird.. and to make things worst we didn't drink.

so well, we got tired of the place. and singapore being small, the clubs/pubs also small... so there was like huge crwod trying to accomodate itself into a small area.. very bad.. disgusting with pple pushing u ard and stuff.. stepping on ur feet.. sweat, ciggy smoke, alcohol, bad breath, the cold smoke thingy that they love blowing out at intervals. the combination of it...not very interesting and desirable. we adjourned to 5 star hainanese chicken rice to makan supper... altho i still think that the far east chicken rice (the one with the black sauce) and my house downstairs the kopitiam the chicken rice is much much nicer!

anyways that how we ended our mambo outing.. not very interesting but the night was highly entertaining and it was definitely weird. hahahahahaha
